 Global Mobility Manager

The Global Mobility Manager is responsible for continuous review and assessment of effectiveness of GM policies and processes to ensure that they continue to meet the needs of BC. Flawless execution of cross-border moves ensuring ongoing compliance with tax, social security, legal and employment framework and in line with Company policy.

Key tasks include:

Package and documentation development for cross border moves (new assignments, extension, repatrations, local to local moves, graduate programme) including exception management

* Research and documentation of compliance framework - tax, social security immigration and legal frameworks
* Liaison with external advisors, managers, HR teams and assignees during the development stage
* Create documentation (including letters, comp summaries, secondment agreements). Ensure that it is signed off and and distributed/ retained as appropriate
* Creation of payroll notifications and coaching of payroll teams where required
* Management of onboarding including leading immigration processes where required

Ongoing assignment management

* Updating of allowances for salary/family size / tax changes and accurate and timely payroll implementation
* Regular review of tracking sheets and management of extensions/ repatriations/ localization processes including updated costings where required
* Regular review of secondment agreements with Corporate Tax and Finance
* Ongoing employee relations for assignee populations

Ongoing vendor management

* Lead/ participate in regular vendor meetings to ensure that services are being delivered according to contract
* Escalate service delivery issues as needed and gain resolution
* Continuous review of processes and vendors to ensure that they continue to meet the needs of BC and provide cost effective solutions

Projects, process and policy improvement

* Participate in projects (M&A, compliance reviews etc) as required
* Review KPI's and assignee population statistics to track GM performance
* Regular review of process to ensure continuous improvement
* Regular review of exceptions requested/ granted to identify opportunities for continuous improvement to policies

Annual Tax Compliance Management

* Maintenance of annual tax preparation authorization list and manage charge out to countries for pwc co-ordination services
* Ownership of tax data collection process and review of compensation data to ensure that it is in line with assignment documentation
* Management of hypo tax reconciliations and tax return payments where necessary

Annual salary review and bonus management

* Calculate hypo taxes/ social security / pension due on bonus and ensure accurate and timely payroll implementation
* Work with local HR to determine salary increasese (using appropriate payscales)
* Update hypo taxes, social security, pension deductions and allowances as appropriate
* Ensure accurate and timely payroll implementation

Education for HR colleagues and Managers

Design and deliver coaching and training for HR colleagues and other non-HR managers on mobility topics to maximize the opportunities for BC to remain compliant with all relevant leglisative requirements (taxes, immigration etc).

Qualifications required

* Education: Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or equivalent
* Experience (type) 2-3 years mobility experience including preparation of compliance framework and full move costing (gross to net, net to gross); day to day management of mobility vendors (tax and immigration advisors, relocation providers); day to day assignment management (employee relations; exception management. Experience in an international/ multi-cultural environment. Project Management skills and MS office skills;​

Ability to interact & communicate on senior level

* Knowledge or specific business understanding: Understanding of tax,social security and immigration frameworks across multiple jurisdictions. Ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization; Strong analytical skills and highly numerate. Customer oriented and driven. Ability to work well independently in addition to being a strong team player.
